Our field staff is led by a supervisory team with an average of 15 years of service with Amprite. They have played a major role in the development of Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

Teresa Pickney, Amprite's Owner, Chairperson of the Board

Teresa Pickney, Owner, Chairperson of the Board, has extensive involvement in the history of Amprite Electric Company. Her father-in-law, Paul Pickney, founded the company in 1961 and her late husband, Mike Pickney, took ownership in the late 1980's. Teresa became the Chairperson of the Board in 2001 and currently maintains ownership of the company, giving Amprite the distinction of being a "100% Woman Owned Business".

Bill Garrett, Amprite's Chief Executive Officer

Bill Garrett, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), started his career in 1958 as an electrician's apprentice. He worked his way up as a journeyman wireman, superintendent and project manager. His first large project as superintendent was the First American National Bank Tower in Nashville, Tennessee. At Amprite, he progressed to Vice President of Operations, Executive Vice President and President, bringing hands-on experience with him.

   
Chuck Roberts, Amprite's President

Chuck Roberts, President, started his electrical career in 1986 as a material expediter. He completed the 5-year Apprenticeship Program and progressed to journeyman wireman, foreman and superintendent status. His first large project as superintendent with Amprite was the Medical Office Building at the Tennessee Christian Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the assistant project manager for the Tennessee Titans NFL Football Stadium project and was promoted to Vice President of Estimating and Executive Vice President.

   
Emory Lester, Amprite's Vice President of Construction

Emory Lester, Vice President of Construction, started his career in 1965 as a material expediter before entering the 4-year Apprenticeship Program. He then progressed to journeyman wireman, field superintendent and general superintendent. His first large project with Amprite was the Bridgestone / Firestone plant expansion in LaVergne, Tennessee. He was also responsible for the new Bridgestone / Firestone plant project in Morrison, Tennessee. He has served as a board member with the Apprenticeship Committee.

   
Tina Greene, Amprite's Secretary / Treasurer and Office Manager

Tina Greene, Secretary / Treasurer and Office Manager, started her career at Amprite in 1983 and is responsible for all Financial and Administrative activities. She has been extensively involved with the continual upgrade of Amprite's accounting and administrative systems.

   
David Swearengin, Amprite's Project Designer

David Swearengin, Project Designer, started his electrical design career in 1983. He was involved with the design for the Union Station Hotel Renovation project and the Tennessee State Laboratories. His first large electrical design project with Amprite was the CSX Transportation Chicago Operations Center in Calumet City, Illinois. Additional major design projects include the Bridgestone / Firestone Warehouse and Office facilities in Akin, South Carolina, the Square 'D' Nashville Corporate Offices and the Kenworth of Tennessee Office and Maintenance Facilities.
